EMS VS FMS (Tesla)

Comparing it to electric stimulation magnetic (FMS) fields are less painful, allow deep penetration into heterogeneous biological tissue and do not require skin contact. FMS does not stimulate pain nerves on the skin surface and is therefore more pleasant than classic electrical stimulation.

Magnetic fields pass through clothes, tissue and bone on the way to otherwise inaccessible areas. FMS creates magnetic fields deep inside the body and thus stimulates muscles that cannot be reached using electrical stimulation.

How does this advance technology compare to Emsculpt treatment?

There are only two devices approved for use with FMS technology by the TGA in Australia at this time. The Tesla Former and Emsculpt™. Where these two devices differ is the power they can deliver and the applications they were designed for.

What Happens During And After The TESLA Former Treatment?

During your TESLA Former treatment The TESLA Former paddle or paddles will be placed on top of clothing on the targeted area. You will feel the electromagnetic pulses causing muscle contractions. The intensity of your treatment will be based on your comfort level. The treatment is not painful, but many patients need to increase treatment intensity at each session, as the muscles become stronger. Your session will take 30 minutes. After your treatment There is no downtime and you can resume most regular activities post-treatment. Generally, a ‘rest day’ for the treated muscle groups is recommended before the next session but it is important to continue your regular exercise for general health and maintaining results. Some patients feel mildly tender the following day but the treatment disperses lactic acid from the muscles, so some patients feel no soreness.
How Many Sessions Are Needed?

The TESLA Former treatment is available in packages with 5 sessions being the minimum number of sessions for optimal results. These sessions must be 2 to 3 days apart. For example, many patients follow the treatment schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, have the weekend off, and then repeat the following week. Consistency is vital with this treatment.
